Catch Up Quick: London-based jewelry brand Astrid & Miyu has signage up at East 84th and Madison Avenue for what will be its second NYC store, per @uptown_girls_ues on Instagram. The British brand is known for stackable gold styles and in-store experiences like piercings and bracelet welding.
Zoom In: Big Night, which calls itself a “shop for dinner, parties, and dinner parties,” is opening at 1015 Lexington Avenue at 73rd Street, @uesthings on Instagram reports. The kitchenware retailer has locations in Greenpoint and the West Village.
What’s Next: El Taco will open at 1452 Second Avenue between 75th and 76th streets as a joint venture between the owners of neighboring Iggy’s and Ella’s Cafe at 1465 Second Avenue. The restaurant promises “street tacos the way we grew up eating them” that are “made to order from scratch.”
State of Play: Yoyo Chicken, which offers chicken tenders, sliders, sandwiches, waffle fries, smash burgers, and milkshakes, will open at 1167 Second Avenue between 61st and 62nd streets. The chain has locations in Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Long Island, with three additional locations listed as coming soon.
